Never again
Ordered this watch in late august, it’s now early may and the watch is no longer working. The warranty is supposedly void because I bought it on Amazon and not directly from Fitbit.Watch wasn’t the greatest but it worked for what i needed. Now that i see how customer service/ warranty is… I’ll spend my $200 elsewhere and Will never another Fitbit again.

Better than Charge 6
I’ve owned every Charge HR series since the 2nd. My Charge 4 broke when the screen shattered after slipping, so I decided to take advantage of a Black Friday deal and get the Charge 6. Unfortunately, the Charge 6 was a disappointment right from the start, with inaccurate running results and firmware update issues. After talking to friends who had similar problems, I returned it and decided to try the Charge 5. The onboard GPS on my Charge 4 was glitchy and unreliable. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the Charge 5, especially because the built-in GPS is more accurate than my iPhone and Samsung phone GPS. However, the built-in GPS sometimes takes a while to connect and drains the battery faster. While it worked fine during a 12-mile run, the signal couldn’t be found when I tried to use it 200 miles away, so I had to rely on my phone for GPS.

Completely dead after 3 months
I wanted to like this purchase. It started out well- I liked the price, slim design. The functionality when new (mid Feb 2024) was decent, but as time wore on, the functionality slowly dissipated. After a month or so, the screen stopped waking up upon movement like it used to. You had to double-tap to make it wake up. After 2 months, it stopped sending data to the Fitbit website so I could see my progress on my laptop. I mainly wanted this to track sleep, steps, and resting heartrate. I think it worked well for steps and heartrate, but very hit and miss with regard to sleep. There were times at which it would say I went to bed at 11:20, although I had been in bed and fully asleep since just after 9:00. It therefore read a lower sleep score and overall sleep hours than you actually did. This was not a single occurrence, but multiple over time. I realize this is not the top end model, but it’s supposed to last at least as long as it’s 1 year warranty. I do not recommend this product, nor will I buy from this company again.

The band.
Watch was great but the band came apart twice. It got buried somewhere under 85″ of snow. Maybe this summer I will find it.

Great fitness, sleep and other tracker
This is a great product for you if you want to track your activity, sleep, heart rate or other things like that. It is slip and comfortable to wear. It also is wonderful because it has alarms you can set on the watch itself, (not having to use your phone) and also timers the same way. It also, if is connected to a phone, has the ability to find your phone. This is great especially when your phone is on silent, because this will still make it ring. The battery life is long and it is a quick charge. The only thing I hated about this watch is that it has no physical button. I hated trying to get the screen to light up when I wanted it to, and there was nothing I could physically push to get it to turn on. You know yourself though, so if that doesn’t bug you, this is the tracking watch for you. My husband loved it!

Great device for a busy person that doesn’t care about flashy style! Truly slick and slim!
Great device! Holds me accountable for getting my daily steps in! I only wish the band had a more substantial securing device like a buckle that couldn’t inadvertently become detached. GPS works great for tracking where you’ve been whether a long trek or a walk to the ice cream parlor! Whoops, . . . I shouldn’t have said that!

It’s my right hand!
I have had a stroke and the last fitbit was the thing that let me know it was an IBF. I wouldn’t go without a fit bit anymore. It’s informative in many ways.

Lasted about 2 months. Fitbit won’t honor warranty because seller isn’t authorized
I had a Charge 2 that actually lasted for several years, although both my wife and son had charge 2 that didn’t last long and were basically pieces of junk. Since mine lasted for several years when it finally gave up the ghost I decided to go with a Charge 5 since I was familiar with the app.For the most part I liked it when I received it, but I soon noticed after 2 of 3 weeks that occasionally it wouldn’t respond when I’d try to tap it to wake it up. It would eventually come up but it wasn’t counting steps while it was in that mode. It seemed to be in some kind of restart cycle. This kept happening more and more frequently until this weekend when it stopped responding for almost an hour and also stopped syncing with the app.I contacted Fitbit support. After troubleshooting they agreed it was toast and forwarded my case to the warranty team since it was only a little more than 2 months old. After a couple hours I was contacted by the warranty team who said since I purchased it on Amazon through Safe N Quick and they are not registered with Fitbit, they would not honor the warranty. Thanks for nothing Fitbit. Suggested I contact Safe N Quick. Did so and was informed by them that they only accept returns for the first 30 days so since it’s been 2 months you’re out of luck. More sterling customer service.I suspect with the way it is behaving and based on some comments on the Fitbit community page that Fitbit may have pushed out a software update that bricked it but can’t prove it.In any case given that my family has now had 5 Fitbit Charges and only 1 actually lasted more than a few months, I will NEVER buy a Fitbit device again. Also, recommend if you do purchase a Fitbit that you think twice about buying through a third party seller because when it breaks, and it will, you’ll probably be out of luck.

Superficially Attractive Garbage
First the good: attractive interface. Comfortable fit pretty sturdy watch face. Now the bad:Accuracy: terrible antenna. Loses satellite immediately and becomes a pedometer. Even with satellite its distance measurements are off by as much as 10%. Very frustrating when training.Post-purchase Paywall: Also, a ton of very basic features are locked behind their subscription paywall. This company does not care about selling you a quality device, but hooking you into a service. Speaking of quality…Disposability: These things are clearly built to be upgraded every year or two. Mine lasted exactly 15 months before it suddenly bricked for no apparent reason. There is no way to hard reset it without a proprietary power cord (I know it sounds insane but I swear it’s true) WHICH THIS SELLER DOES NOT SELL YOU. There’s a reason why the warranty is 12 months, they know they are selling disposable garbage. Basically this device is a Temu Apple Watch.Warranty Shenanigans: Finally, and I cannot emphasize this enough, THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THIS SELLER. If your watch bricks, which it will, tough luck buddy. They don’t ask for your serial number at customer service, they ask for your seller. Bad sign. They don’t bother printing a serial number on your device, because, again, Fitbit is AWARE they are selling disposable garbage. Conclusion: I always thought Fitbit was the gold standard in wearables. Never again. They’ve lost a customer for life. The customer service person wasn’t even surprised when I said I would never buy another one. I’m pretty sure that’s what she hears all-day everyday at this pathetic manufacturer.Superficially Attractive Garbage. Consider a Garmin instead.
